I did extensive research before I bought this bike. I've ridden it for about ten hours since assembly and am simply
delighted with it. I am a good mechanic and assembled it by myself in about three hours. The assembly manual has
little text, mostly illustrations; but they marginally suffice, more text would be very helpful.
The console electronic cable going the top of the front wheel hardware has
connectors at both ends -- they must be connected to the proper connectors, they are not the same configuration and
are not interchangeable. So beware, the bike parts I received had this cable reversed so I was unable to connect
the connectors until I removed the cable and reversed its "to -- from" direction.
The text regarding the programming of a user is unsatisfactory, confusing, does
not effective communicate to a reader.
When registering the bike, you must have its serial number, the serial number
is located on the bottom of the front stabilizer, record it before you assemble the bike.
In sum, if you are looking for an outstanding recumbent exercise bike at a most
reasonable price, I urge you to purchase this bike.

My wife had total knee replacement and during the rehab, her Physical Therapist had her do 8 or 10 minutes on a
recumbant bike to loosen up for the therapy. We asked about the wisdom of getting one for home when "formal" rehab
was done and he thought it would be helpful. Because of the knee, we wanted a recumbant with a low, step-thru mount
and the Schwinn 240 fit all of that. Its programs have been helpful for her - low resistance - and for me - higher
resistance. It is quiet and great to watch a TV show and get your CV at the same time. The bike has been great for
her in-home rehab. It does loosen her up while at the same time builds strength and CV. The Schwinn is worth the
money - good quality - and a great price with free delivery.

We received the bike quickly from Amazon. It was a bit tricky to assemble, in part because some of the assembly in
the instructions was already complete. But I was able to unpack and assemble it on my own. Really only one tricky
part by yourself and that is connecting the wiring connectors. Once assembled it worked flawlessly. As others have
said it is extremely quiet. It is fairly easy to program and it has memory for two people plus a guest setting to
support other users. The manual is a bit weak, but operation isn't so complicated that you can't figure out the
missing details on your own. It has a good range of predefined rides, plus each user can define one custom ride,
and a more than adequate range of settings from really easy to very difficult. Overall this is a great deal at the
price we paid at Amazon, quick shipping, very quiet and versatile. Easy to move around with built in wheels and a
handle. This is the perfect device for us. We have only had it about six weeks but so far it has served us
flawlessly.
